Fun fact: the concept for Central Park in Rochester, Minnesota is older than the legendary one in New York. In the late 1800s, Central Park became the community’s first public park and has been a beloved public space ever since.
While its features may have changed over the years, the park is still a historical site with rentable space, picnic shelter, seasonal public seating and restrooms and is home to the Heritage House Victorian Museum. Central Park is also the site of free outdoor fitness classes called Fresh Air Fitness and many other community events with capacities between 20 and 50 people.
