Dancing Downtown Moves Outside for the Summer

Dance Into Summer with Dancing Downtown at Peace Plaza

Get ready to step into summer with rhythm, fun and community. Dancing Downtown is moving outside for the summer, starting Monday, May 5! Hosted by the Rochester Downtown Alliance, this free weekly dance series is the perfect way to spend your Monday evenings in the heart of Downtown Rochester. From 6-8pm, gather at Peace Plaza for high-energy group dance lessons led by talented instructors from our local USA Dance Chapter.

Whether you’re new to the dance floor or already a pro, everyone is welcome—solo dancers, couples, and friend groups. Each week features a different dance style, giving you a chance to try something new. Best of all? It’s completely free—and so is Downtown parking after 5pm! For the most convenient access, we recommend parking in the Center Street Ramp.

Here’s the lineup to mark on your calendar:

May 5 from 6-8pm – Salsa (Peace Plaza)
May 12 from 6-8pm – Waltz (Peace Plaza)
May 19 from 6-8pm – Cha Cha (Peace Plaza)
May 26 from 6-8pm – NRG Line Dancing (Peace Plaza)
