ChatGPT is the free AI that’s become the most quickly-adopted technology in history. It’s easy to start using… but it takes expertise & imagination to unlock its powers.
This is a fast-paced, 90-minute-long workshop that’s ACTUALLY FUN. In it, we’ll take you from noob to 90th-percentile user.
You’ll learn how to…
make its answers fit your brain
avoid some dangers
become more creative than ever
You’ll learn how to incorporate ChatGPT into your work and learning. (You’ll see how ChatGPT can be particularly useful to people with ADHD or on the autism spectrum.)
And you’ll come to understand how it works (which isn’t how it looks like it works), which will help you know when you can trust the information it gives you, and when you can’t. Most of all, you’ll learn how to make ChatGPT really enjoyable! (We haven’t had this much fun on the internet since the start of the World Wide Web.)
This session will be led by Collider member Brandon Hendrickson, Learning Architect and Founder of Science is WEIRD (https://www.scienceisweird.com/).
About Science is WEIRD:
We’re a weird company. We teach science classes… but not in the usual way. We also focus on a very specific skill — close reading — and use it as the secret to teaching all sorts of other things. And we offer “Genius Workshops” for parents and kids to help to help cultivate Renaissance people.
About Brandon: Brandon’s the founder of Science is WEIRD! But he’s taught a bunch of stuff. He was an elementary school teacher, he taught a semester of college, and led high school humanities seminars in such topics as moral economics, world religions, the philosophy of happiness, and the psychology of evil. His favorite YouTube channels are SciShow and Kurzgesagt. He’s lived in Milwaukee, Phoenix, and Seattle, and now resides in beautiful Rochester, Minnesota with his wife and two kids… where he wants to help build an adventure playground. He’s never happier than when he comes home from the library with a bag of new, shiny books, puts on some music, and stretches out on the floor to start reading.
