We are so proud to announce Rochester Local Authors / Local History book signing Day October 24th 11am -1pm.

We will be featuring 3 Local authors and historians of Rochester:

Virginia M. Wright-Peterson author of Rochester an Urban Biography, A Woman's War Too and Women of Mayo Clinic The Founding Generation.
About the Author
Virginia M. Wright-Peterson has taught writing for more than fifteen years and is on the administrative team at the University of Minnesota Rochester. She is the author of Women of Mayo Clinic: The Founding Generation and A Woman's War Too.

Amy Jo Hahn author of Lost Rochester and Hidden History
About the Author
Amy Jo Hahn has a master's degree in mass communication and a historic preservation certificate. Her first book for The History Press was Lost Rochester, Minnesota.

Paul Scanlon MD author of Rochester Stories: A Med City History
About the Author
Paul David Scanlon, MD, FACP, FCCP, is Professor Emeritus of Medicine in the Division of Pulmonary & Critical Care Medicine at Mayo Clinic. He trained at the University of Minnesota, Mayo Medical School, Johns Hopkins and Harvard. He served at the Mayo Clinic for thirty-five years, retiring from clinical practice in 2019. Born at St. Marys Hospital, Scanlon has lived in Rochester most of his life. He has served as president of Rochester Public Schools Board of Directors, president of Rochester Montessori School Board of Directors, president of the Rochester Art Center Board, vice-president of the Rochester Civic Music Board and president of the Rochester Park Board. He and his wife, Maggie, a retired nurse, have three children and seven grandchildren.
