About the Exhibition
Anne Labovitz: The Nexus of Well-Being and Art
Exhibition on view February 18 – July 30, 2023
The Nexus of Well-Being and Art is a new body of work by noted international artist Anne Labovitz. The Minnesota born artist creates interactive, multi-faceted works inspired by the premise that physical, mental and emotional health are essential to true well-being. Labovitz is creating new paintings, sculpture, installation and public engagement work specifically for Rochester Art Center. Celebrating the importance of human connection and its visual embodiment, Labovitz’s work engages people across cultural and geographical boundaries. It fosters and celebrates the ideas of friendship, community building, and emotional exchange.
This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts and cultural heritage fund.
