Join us for a discussion of the state's current One Book | One Minnesota read, A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota.

One Book | One Minnesota is a statewide book club that invites Minnesotans of all ages to read a common title and come together virtually to enjoy, reflect, and discuss. The current selection for summer 2020 is A Good Time for the Truth: Race in Minnesota, which features essays by 16 Minnesota authors on their experiences living as people of color in one of the whitest states in the nation. Minnesota communities struggle with some of the nation’s worst racial disparities. As its authors confront and consider the realities that lie beneath the numbers, this book provides an important tool to those who want to be part of closing those gaps.

Registration is required for this event to ensure a small group and encourage discussion and reflection.  We will be meeting outside, in the pavilion at Central Park.  Some seating is available but you may want to bring your own lawn chair.  Masks will be required.
