HOW TO WATCH: This virtual concert can be viewed on Riverside Concerts’ Facebook and YouTube accounts.

Carrie Vecchione and Rolf Edahl of OboeBass! invite you to join their pioneering journey of creating a delightfully engaging new genre of music for oboe and bass. We think you’ll agree oboe and bass are two great sounds that complement one another and sound great together! Enjoy crossover musical influences from jazz, folk and classical traditions of Norway, Italy, Finland, and America, plus music to accompany the ethereal and whimsical visual art of Cy DeCosse. Music of Grieg, Foster, Tim Goplerud, Eric Hansen, Steve Heitzeg, Mary Ellen Childs, Adrian Mann, and Julie Johnson.

“Who would have guessed that an Oboe/Bass duo combination would sound so….well, so right!”
— Steve Staruch, Minnesota Public Radio

Riverside Concerts, the City of Rochester's music department, presents "Live from Med City", an online video digest of all things arts and entertainment in Rochester, MN. The "Live from Med City" concept was conceived with the objective to spotlight the many “live arts experiences” Rochester (home of the world renowned Mayo Clinic) has to offer, featuring artists from around the block and from all over the world, and filmed in some of our finest and most unique venues. Focusing first on Riverside Concerts’ own presentations, but with an eye toward broadening the coverage to include presentations from other local organizations in the future.

Brought to you by the Friends of Riverside Concerts with additional support by the Mayo Clinic. This activity is made possible by the voters of Minnesota through a Minnesota State Arts Board Operating Support Grant, thanks to a legislative appropriation from the arts & cultural heritage fund.
