The City of Rochester and Destination Medical Center invite you to the final meetings regarding the transit-oriented development plan to support new rapid transit in Rochester. Thank you for your continued engagement in this important planning process, which explores ways to improve the well-being and quality of life in downtown and surrounding neighborhoods. The team is excited to share with the public final concepts for station areas and the entire rapid transit corridor.
The future Rochester Rapid Transit corridor runs along 2nd Street SW, with a subsequent phase of the locally preferred alternative extending the rapid transit system south to the East Transit Village near Graham Park. This transit has the potential to add mobility options for residents, employees and businesses, guide future growth and development in a smart way, and enhance community well-being.
Join us for a special online open house webinar presentation of the project. There are two upcoming webinar opportunities:
- Webinar #1 Tuesday, June 16 from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m.
- Webinar #2 Tuesday, June 23 from 12 p.m. to 1 p.m.
The two webinars will cover the same content. At the webinars, community members will learn about:
- Location of rapid transit stations and how transit features can be worked into the neighborhood.
- Economic market trends and analysis
- Residential and commercial mix around station
People able to attend the webcast will be able to ask questions during the presentation using a question/answer function. Questions will be gathered and answered as is feasible within the timeframe. All questions will be addressed and posted on the project webpage.
