Details
Mark is a Rochester, MN-based singer/songwriter who performs a mix of originals and covers with keyboard, bass and synthesizers. His sound could best be described as lounge singer meets 70’s rocker with a flare for transient moments of surrealism and tranquil ambience. “A living velvet painting” is the best way he can describe the sounds he seeks. Influences range from classical to classic rock & country, New Orleans, funk, electronic and Yacht rock. Mark also plays in Rochester bands Jeremy Jewell & The Codependents, Hair Of The Dog and Calling Dinosaurs.
Music on the Plaza brings live music to the Peace Plaza, encouraging passers by to enjoy the music of local artists over weekday lunch and happy hours, and Friday night concerts on the Kahler Grand Hotel stage.
This program is presented by Rochester Downtown Alliance with support from Mayo Clinic and Winona State University, Rochester. The series is coordinated by John Sievers and Threshold Arts.
