Enjoy live music on Peace Plaza on Mondays and Wednesdays from 4-6 p.m., presented by the Galleria at University Square! Mark Thoreen will play from 4-6 p.m. with a break for the Mayo Clinic Carillon concert at 4:45 p.m.
Mark is a Rochester, MN based singer/songwriter who performs a mix of originals and covers with keyboard, bass and synthesizers. His sound could best be described as lounge singer meets 70’s rocker with a flare for transient moments of surrealism and tranquil ambience. “A living velvet painting” is the best way he can describe the sounds he seeks. Influences range from classical to classic rock & country, New Orleans, funk, electronic and Yacht rock. Mark also plays in Rochester bands Jeremy Jewell & The Codependents and Hair Of The Dog.
