My Town My Music and Threshold Arts are thrilled to bring Har Mar Superstar back to Rochester on September 13th! Setting the stage for the evening will be one of The Current's and First Avenue's best new bands, Static Panic. Local favorites Apollo Cobra will be getting the night started, so be there at doors! Happy Hour starting at 3PM at Cameo Restaurant before the show! Thank you to our partners and sponsors: Threshold Arts | Northern Sun Productions | Med City Beat | The Current | Thesis Beer Project | Fairfield Inn & Suites Rochester Minnesota | The Rochester Posse | Café Steam | Pure Rock Studios of Rochester | Fox & Fern Floral | Wondercloud Media | Carpet Booth Studios --- --- --- --- Har Mar Superstar Sean Tillmann (aka Har Mar Superstar) is an American songwriter & performer who makes R&B / Pop / Soul music. What started as a one-man show in 1999 has grown into a full-band revue. Often noted as a premier live act, Tillmann works the crowd and earns his keep with sweat equity. A grueling tour schedule has made this Minneapolis, MN outfit a show not to miss. “Look out for Har Mar Superstar, now fronting a six-piece band — complete with horns — touring worldwide. The live show has always been a fun, sweat-soaked celebration of joy. The man was born to rock a stage. Join the party. Don’t fake your love.” – First Avenue --- --- --- --- Static Panic Static Panic’s debut EP, “Chrome,” is a deliciously honest look into sexuality and self-discovery. From the broken-hearted synthrock stylings of “Anthem Of The Lost,” to the heavily Prince-inspired seductions of “The Crazy Thing,” this collection of songs is unapologetically brazen and aims to get your blood pumping. The catchy melodies and pop sensibilities of “Lose You To The Night,” and “Feel It,” convey versatility and an eagerness to breach a social barrier of coping with social anxiety and relationships torn asunder by space and time. Static Panic presents a vivid, visceral set of images and themes consistent with a universal experience throughout the course of the journey we call “Chrome”. Static Panic were named one of Minnesota’s best new bands in 2019 by First Avenue, 89.3 The Current, City Pages, and Minneapolis Star Tribune. --- --- --- --- Apollo Cobra Apollo Cobra returns to Rochester and they’re bringing their synthesizers, bass, keyboards, vocals, drums and more! Apollo Cobra’s live show is an array of dance, rock, funk and soul that you really don’t want to miss. They’ve managed to fuse electronic music with a live band and all without a laptop! Last time they were in town they had the 2nd floor of Kathy’s Pub dancing and moving to the beat. They’re starting off the night this time around, so be sure to be there at doors so you don’t miss any of the fun. We can’t wait to see what they bring this time! Recently getting some play on Jimmy Fallon with “Sweatpants” we hope you have your dancing pants ready to go, and are ready to have some fun! Grab a drink at Cameo‘s happy hour downstairs and then head up to the third floor to get loose!
