Tom Crann, host of All Things Considered, and Sammi Loo, owner of Ootori Sushi and Mezza 9 café in Rochester, for a very fun and interesting evening - MPR Connects presents: “Appetites in Greater Minnesota” on June 16th.
MPR Connects will feature Tom Crann talking in-person with Sammi Loo, owner of Ootori Sushi and Mezza 9 café in Rochester, Minnesota. Tom and Sammi will talk flavors, recipes and advice. Learn more about Sammi and her journey through her food career. Sammi will share her favorite vegan sushi recipe and demonstrate her sushi rolling technique! Tastings will be available.
Sammi Loo, Rochester, Minnesota restaurateur and food entrepreneur is the owner of Ootori Sushi, a Japanese restaurant and Mezza 9, a Parisian café and a soon-to-open Korean restaurant. Loo grew up in Malaysia, arriving in Rochester in 2005. Loo has been rolling Sushi for over 15 years and was involved in the first introduction of Sushi to Rochester in 2008. Her favorite cuisines are Malaysian, Japanese, and Korean.
