Memory Box Workshop and Artist Talk with Chris Rackley
Join artist Chris Rackley to transform a memory into a sculptural miniature. Participants will create a scene small enough to fit inside a shoebox. Participants will learn visual tricks, including forced perspective and depth cues, to make the shoebox seem bigger on the inside than on the outside. The workshop will also demonstrate how to use multiple viewpoints, limited field of view and LED lighting to evoke mood and hint at narrative in the dioramas.
All materials are provided. No experience necessary. Open to ages 12 and up.
Spots are limited, please reserve your ticket in advance.
