Leaf Trace / Land Trace: Meditations on Finding Our Way Through Trees
Free Tickets: Click Here

Leaf Trace/Land Trace is a free interactive art project inviting you to converse with trees and people and reflect intentionally on your connections to the places you live, visit and work. This project, designed by Minneapolis artist Sarah Nassif, holds space for open-ended conversation around deeply complex topics about why and how each of us has arrived at our current locations. Participants use a free booklet and pencil to follow a series of meditations on local trees that yields insight about a monument hidden in plain sight: the Public Land Survey.

Join us for an artist talk with Sarah Nassif on August 10th at noon. You can participate in the project on your own and/or join the community conversation. Pick up your copy of Leaf Trace / Land Trace at the wooden kiosk by the front door of Rochester Art Center or in the Township exhibit at the History Center of Olmsted County.
