Rochester, MN – Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association [IMAA], a nonprofit organization that fosters the well-being and independence of refugees and immigrants who resettle in Rochester and surrounding areas, is excited to announce its upcoming event, 2023 Pearl Gala. This event promises to be a night of networking, education and reinforcing the Power of Welcome in the Rochester community.

The main objectives of the Pearl Gala are:

- Gaining awareness for the programs IMAA offers to the community.
- The Pearl Gala is IMAA’s only annual fundraiser for its multiple programs and services that run year-round.
- Bringing the community together for a night of global culture, education, and storytelling.

IMAA invites the greater Rochester community to join us for an evening of global culture, storytelling and networking with the community rallied around the power of welcome in the City of Rochester. Attendees will have the opportunity to network, have a chance to win amazing prizes, indulge in a cultural menu and support an organization that uplifts Rochester year-round.

"We are excited to bring our community together for the 2023 Pearl Gala," said Armin Budimlic, Executive Director of IMAA. "This event not only serves as our annual fundraiser, but also as an opportunity for our supporters to connect, learn, and embrace the power of welcome."

IMAA is committed to fostering the well-being and independence of refugees and immigrants who resettle in Rochester and surrounding areas. All proceeds from the Pearl Gala will go towards supporting IMAA’s programs that provide culturally responsive, bilingual direct services to refugees and immigrants in order to help them rebuild stability and self-sufficiency.
