Join us for the 7th annual Feel the Beat event on October 12, 2019 at Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minnesota! This one-day, family-friendly event is free and includes panel discussions from experts and families, fun activities, and more! The theme of this year is "Elevate" -- raising awareness and celebrating how research enhances the lives of individuals with Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome (HLHS). We'll be highlighting the role of Clinical Research Coordinators on this year's panel. We have coordinators and families from several HLHS Consortium sites who will share their experiences and describe how impactful this positive relationship is to newly-diagnosed families. We'll also have a very inspiring special guest, Naomi Babcock, who is a 17-year old, pre-professional ballerina with HLHS! Naomi and her mother will walk us through their journey from being diagnosed after birth, to becoming a student who is training full-time in New York. Naomi will also give a special performance and meet-and-greet to end the day! --Parking The Damon Parking Ramp at 15 Third Ave SW is directly across the street from the Gonda Building. There is also street parking around downtown and the meters are free on weekends. Note: Overhead announcements in Damon instruct visitors to take the elevators to the Subway level to enter Mayo Clinic. However, the Subway entrance is closed on weekends. Please go to the street level and exit the door on the right-hand side. Follow the sidewalk to the nearest crosswalk at 1st Street & 3rd Ave and enter the Gonda Building. --New this Year -- Social Hour! Join us after the day's event at one of our favorite local spots! This will be a great opportunity to connect with other HLHS families and hang out with Team HLHS!
