About the Artist
Karl Friedrich is a steel sculptor who also creates large-scale abstract paintings. He was born in Seattle Washington and grew up in Rochester, Minnesota. Friedrich studied in New York City, apprenticed with artist, Mark di Suvero, and graduated from Cooper Union.
Inspired by nature and the human figure, he moved back to Rochester to further his work with public art installations.
