Why You Should Attend the Downtown Event Pitch Night January 14

Applicants of the Rochester Downtown Alliance's Start-Up Event Grant will be pitching their event ideas January 14 and need your support in hopes of winning up to $3,000 in event grant funds.

Attend the Pitch Night for free (a limited number of tickets are available here) at One Discovery Square and help determine which applicant's event could come to downtown Rochester. The public will have an interactive opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite to receive an additional $500 grant.

Start-Up Event Grant applicants will present their ideas in a Shark Tank-style pitch competition. Making up the Pitch Night judges panel is Naura Anderson of Threshold Arts/Castle Community, Chris Fierst of Bar Buffalo/The Half Barrel, William Forsman of Café Steam, and guest judge John Sievers, local trombonist and previous Start-Up Grant recipient for Jazz Fest.
