Thinking Thursdays: Share Moments, Win Prizes!
One of the highlights last week (at least for me and my son) had to be the petting zoo hosted by the Fantasy Corral for Youth Day. I was expecting to see some goats and maybe a pony, and ended up being surprised by the variety of animals they had -- a baby camel, some sleepy skunks, a whole little herd of cute LaMancha short-eared goats, and a brahman cow. I mean, who could resist that sweet face? I couldn’t, and this is coming from a person who swears my son is never getting a dog. But maybe he could get a brahman cow?
Of course, the petting zoo provided plenty of good photo ops (I’ll spare you all of the pictures of us petting the goats). Judging by the number of people I see taking selfies and snaps with their friends, I bet you’ve probably got a fair number of photos from Thursdays on First & 3rd.
As the end of the season approaches--you’ve got until August 27th to make it down here--now is the time to enter your photos into the Rochester Downtown Alliance photo contest. Wait a minute--a photo contest? You didn’t know there was a photo contest going on? Well actually, there are two. I’ve given you all of the details of how to enter below (it’s like three steps) as well as some photos I took last week that are definitely not going to win.
