Movies in the Park: Snuggle Up for Save Haven
Movies in the Park is a four-part outdoor movie experience presented by the Rochester Downtown Alliance and Premier Bank Rochester featuring activities, film-inspired food and drink, and a movie nestled in string-lit Historic Central Park. This time, it's "Date Night" inspired by the romantic favorite, Safe Haven. Play, dine, and watch a movie under the stars with us!
SNUGGLE UP FOR SAFE HAVEN
This one’s for the sweethearts and best friends of the world. Movies in the Park, presented by Premier Bank Rochester, showcases Safe Haven at Central Park on September 15th. Come on down at 7pm for #MITP2018 photo opportunities, badminton and bean bags, or play a board game over dinner! When the movie starts at 9pm, you snuggle up under the stars to watch this romantic favorite.
ENTER INTO A VIRTUAL REALITY
Break free from Netflix this Saturday. We’re sure you’ll enjoy our free pre-movie activities, brought to you by Charter House. See who is the most artistic when you slide on your virtual reality goggles to paint a 3D picture with your friends. Grab a seat on your blanket or a spot on one of our picnic tables to play a classic board game with your significant other. Do you like to be more active? Play glow in the dark badminton or challenge your group to a round of bean bag toss.
SHARE A PLATE WITH YOUR DATE
You’ve probably enjoyed the flavors of Bleu Duck Kitchen in their beautifully restored Downtown space or at Thursdays on First & 3rd, but they’ve created a customized, picnic-perfect menu just for you. For those that like savory, indulge in a plate of Smokey Cheddar Mac and Cheese with Bacon Bread Crumbs. If you’re into the lighter fare, try the Beef Lettuce Wrap Salad with Peanut Dressing. The menu, along with assorted beer and wine, will be available for purchase on site beginning at 7pm.
MOVIE "HAVEN"
Now that you’ve had some fun and grabbed a bite to eat, it’s showtime! Grab your Carroll’s Corn popcorn, while supplies last, before the movie begins at 9pm and settle in to one of our inflatable pools for lounging. What are you waiting for? Mark your calendars, and help us celebrate the end of a great Movies in the Park season this Saturday, September 15th.
